Bill Gates: Human Depopulation Mastermind

Most people will recognize the name Bill Gates as being the former CEO and current chairman of Microsoft, but how many realize that he is spending billions of dollars in the name of humanitarianism to establish a global food monopoly dominated by GM seeds. I applaud the fact that Mister Gates wishes to eliminate disease and feed the worlds poor, but eliminating what he considers to be human weeds is definitely not the way that this should be accomplished. Bill Gates father William Gates has for a long time been involved with Planned Parenthood as another way to systematically exterminate unwanted and in their eyes, unnecessary people. To the best of my memory neither of these men have in any way been appointed God, which is serious blasphemy. I pray that God will make both of these men aware of his displeasure with them and what they believe to be right. Are we Done Yet?

I am glad that today is February 28th. This would normally be the end of the month but this year we have a leap year. I would usually consider an extra day off or of vacation to be a great thing but this is not such a great thing. It just means one more day until payday on Friday. Thankfully we will finally have money to go grocery shopping with. We are writing out our shopping list even as we speak. There are some things that we are completely out of such as sugar and margarine. I wish that we could afford to buy butter but that is too costly for my budget. I use Splenda in my coffee due to my diabetes but right now I only have enough for 2 cups of coffee, then I have to drink it black. Not happening. Sorry that this is a post with a negative tone but I am just telling the truth and we all know that life is not always a positive experience, so thanks for hearing me out I really appreciate it.

Government Out of Control!

I don't normally blog about things like this but this subject needs to have some light shed on it. In Michigan the Department of Natural Resources has decided to bring the feral pig population under control. Okay so you don't want a bunch of wild pigs running around loose in the wilderness reproducing at will and destroying the environment. But when you decide to crack down on small family farms that are producing animals in a controlled environment, that are not exactly what the government considers to be a domestic, thus possibly a GMO animal you can NOT keep and breed them. The farmer in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tOBUKrMXfGw is going to considerable amounts of trouble and headache to keep raising these animals. This is just another case of the government trying to put the small family farms out of business so the corporations are the only ones in the farming industry thus creating a monopoly. This is definitely not the way things should be done.

Why are we Getting Snow Now?

Today we received about 1 inch of snow on everything over the top of 1/2 an inch of rain that turned into ice. I know this may not seem like very much but in New Hampshire it is a law that your car must be completely cleared of snow and ice, if snow flying off of your car you will be held responsible for the accident. To the best of my understanding this means even the top of the vehicle, be it car, minivan or truck no matter how high it is and how short you are, get my hint. This to me is a crazy law due to the fact that I had until April of 2011, I had lived in the state of Illinois which gets plenty of snow and freezing rain and has no such law. Yes you have to clear your car but not %100 before you can drive it, so today before I made my 10 minute drive to the post office and back I spent 20 minutes cleaning off the car thus freezing my fingers in spite of my gloves. In my 30 plus years of driving, I have yet to see an accident caused by snow flying off one car onto another thus blocking their vision of the road.

What a Mishap

When I first heard about this story I thought it was about Prince William or Harry. But it is a scary story about another Prince, Prince Johan Friso http://www.aljazeera.com/news/europe/2012/02/201221852132913116.html . I don't care how much of an average person you are or are not, horrible things can still happen to you along the path of life. I have never been able to participate in the to some people wonderful sport due to bad knees, but nobody not even royalty deserves to have their life cut short due to trying to live life to the fullest. I hope that he fully recovers and in the process learns a lesson about where to go skiing at.

A Trip Back to Texas

Today, hubby Seamus (Irish for James) started planning our short and fast (hopefully) trip back to Texas to retrieve the items that we left in storage. We are going to take the Greyhound down there and then drive a rental moving truck back to New Hampshire. I have drove vehicles of most every size and shape so I feel comfortable doing this. I just make sure to avoid the major cities at rush hour. This is going to be a good thing for both of us to do, especially Seamus since most of the major pieces of furniture are his family heirlooms. If it had been possible, I would have rented a truck for us to use last year when we initially came up here. I think we had about $150 left when we made it here.

Target beauty bag has arrived!!!

Oh what a wonderful day! My long awaited Target beauty bag has arrived! My hubby went to the Post Office today and returned with a small package for me. I hope that everything that was supposed to be included is. The reason I say this is that one end of the box was open and the zipper on the bag was open. Also the samples were not enclosed in a sealed plastic pouch. Okay enough I don't really trust the post office talk. The zippered beauty bag is fuchsia, purple and white satin fabric outside and purple inside, Contents by Allegro. Nice little bag to carry your cosmetic goodies in your purse with. Now for the best part, my samples which include L'oreal
Paris Youth Code Day/Night Cream; John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo and Conditioner samples with a coupon; TRESemme Naturals nourishing moisture shampoo and conditioner; Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner; and last but not least, Pond's Evening Soothe with chamomile & white tea Wet Cleansing Towelettes to remove the days grit and grime plus soothe your soul. I have great expectations for these wonderful products and I am going to give each of them a road test and see the results for myself. I can make good use of the L'oreal Day/Night Cream to prevent lines
and wrinkles from forming. You know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Thank goodness for that. And I will test out each of the shampoos to see which is most suited to my needs.

Confusion

This day, if you can call it that is a bit of a confused mess. Wonder why? Sunday night I never went to bed and stayed up until 7 a.m. due to it being Sunday which means I don't really have a routine for it. No I don't go to church even though I know I should since it is a day of rest. I need to find a church that is comfortable for me and within a short driving distance. I am a little on the liberal side and all of the churches in my town are on the conservative side. I know that there is a church from my Lutheran synod nearby but I need to conserve gas and money.
So now it is Monday, February 20th which I refer to as Washington's Birthday but is more commonly known as President's day. I have always wondered why Mr. Washington always has such a grim look on his face, but if you had wooden teeth I doubt that you would be much happier either. I am used to Washington's Birthday due to me growing up in Illinois where if Mister Lincoln didn't get his own holiday there would be a small revolt, plus I am a cousin of Abraham. Yes my family has proven genealogical records to prove it too. My poor brother gets more unwanted attention than he likes because he bears the family name of Tom which happens to belong to a certain famous actor.

The Planet or Non Planet Pluto

The planet Pluto was known to exist long before it was fully discovered. The scientists had long believed that this planet existed due to the actions of the other planets near it, Uranas and Neptune. On this day, February 18, in 1930, the mysterious “Planet X”, also known as Pluto was finally observed at the Thomas Lowell observatory in Arizona, where Percival Lowell began his search. The planet was named Pluto as the result of a survey being sent out to school children and Venetia Phair suggested the name Pluto for the planet due to no particular reason. It does strike me as a little odd though that eventually there would be a Disney character of the same name.

Now the scientific community has come to the decision that Pluto is not a planet due to the fact that it has not cleared its neighborhood. Simply put, that means that Pluto has not ridded its neighborhood of smaller objects that could become an obstacle in its path. Sorry to say that it is no longer a planet. Oddly enough the planet Earth that we reside on has not entirely cleared its neighborhood either. So that means we don't live on a planet either? Confusing enough to me, is it also to you? For further explanation about Pluto's discovery you can visit http://famousdaily.com/history/pluto-the-ninth-planet-of.html and as to why it is no longer a planet go to http://www.universetoday.com/13573/why-pluto-is-no-longer-a-planet/.

Anybody up for a Game? Show that is

On this day in 1950, What's My Line began its seventeen year run on CBS. It was on the air in the United  States, also Germany, Spain, UK, Brazil, as well as Brazil and Venezuela. There is no single factor in what made this show so popular. I suspect that it was the fact that TV was such a novel innovation at the time which few people had so far been exposed to, thus making the audience enthralled by any new type of programming that had an entertainment value to it. Plus you add the various appearances by celebrities of the day which made for even more interesting sport. Dumb Blond

1950's Barbie

2011 Barbies
Today in 1959 this lovely blond lady went on sale. Ruth Handler and her husband Elliott ran a small company Mattel that manufactured dolls and dollhouses. One day after watching her young daughter give her dolls adult roles, Ruth began forming the new doll soon to be known as Barbie. Barbie was an extremely popular yet controversial doll selling over 350,000 in the first year, but she was also criticized by the feminists as to her having unrealistic body proportions. Yes I remember looking at my Barbie dolls as a young girl and wishing that I had such a shapely figure as her, but I truly doubt that she caused me psychological damage. In all honestly if you want to see something that can cause you to have a sense of inadequacy if you are trying to collect all of these, go to the new collection of Barbies that are available for 2011 http://www.angelicdreamz.com/Barbie-2011-DOLLS_c_1940.html Here is a link to the 1959 Barbie http://famousdaily.com/history/barbie-doll-goes-on-sale.html

Hurry Up and Put Out That Fire

Since the times of the caveman, human beings have relied on fire for cooking food, heating the cave or house, and giving us light to see by yet we had to endure the hazards of an open flame or an extremely hot stove. We didn't want to be in the dark or cold but also didn't want all our meager possessions to go up in smoke, quite literally. So on this day in 1863 the first fire extinguisher was patented in the United States. At least this gave you a fighting chance if a fire did develop in your house and you were fortunate enough to own one of these new inventions.http://famousdaily.com/history/first-us-fire-extinguisher-patent.html

The Beatles meet Ed Sullivan

Today in 1964 The Beatles appeared live on the Ed Sullivan Show. At times the music could barely be heard over the excited squeals of the fans in attendance. I am a fan of The Beatles and wish that I would have been old enough to witness this special occasion in music history. I can only imagine what an experience this must have been for those fortunate enough to be in attendance. What's for Dinner?

Today we had a bit of a challenge when it came to making dinner. We decided that we wanted to have Hot Tamale Pie from Foodwishes another great blog here on blogspot and you can find it at http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/2008/10/sacred-tamale-another-victim-of.html. But we have one small problem, we don't have 2 boxes of Jiffy corn bread mix. Plus we don't have a real grocery store in our small town of 2100 people, just a convenience store that carries select items at a higher than normal price. This is my mistake, I should have put Jiffy corn bread mix on the shopping list. So to compensate for this I made a batch of Sweet Corn Cakes from Allrecipes.com and here is the link for it http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sweet-corn-cakes/detail.aspx. So hubby cooked the Sacred Tamale part of the recipe while I made the Sweet Corn Cakes and then we combined them to have a wonderful  Hot Tamale Pie.

Valentine's Day Freebies

I was web searching today and typed in valentines day freebies. Little did I expect to see a website with that name! I did not explore any of the offers on the site but if you feel brave and want to give it a fling, go to www.valentinesdayfreebies.com. I was a little shocked to see that one of the offers was for a free condom. Yes I know this is 2012 and people do have sex without being married but it didn't need to be so blatantly exposed to the whole internet world.

Its Blogging Time Again!

Hello, hello! This day has contained many different things. We got the VCR/DVD-R hooked up to the TV so now hubby and I don't have to try to watch a movie on his computer. Nice thing about this is that it can even record to a DVD, which we haven't tried to do yet but its supposedly capable of. Next we hooked up our new printer to both computers. If I want to print from my laptop I will have to move the cable over to it but that isn't too much of a bother. After that came the big job, washing the dishes and cleaning the floor of the kitchen. Oh yes I always enjoy emptying the dishes out of the sink where they have been waiting. Yes I know I should do them promptly but who feels like washing dishes at midnight? You do? Come on now you must be pulling my leg. What next? Actually an easy but a little time consuming job. Washed and dried the 6x9 inch crocheted rectangles yesterday which will become afghans for wounded military personnel. Now I have put them in bundles of 7 tied together with yarn, packed them into the box inside a plastic bag, tape up and address the box then off to the post office Monday. Now we are going to make corn tortillas and they will become enchiladas. Yummy! Both Seamus (hubby) and I are fond of Mexican food, with him living in Texas for 40 years he knows how to make the real thing, not the fast food type stuff. Dinner is coming to our location soon!

What a Long Day Its Been

Hello again to all my readers. Sorry this is posting a bit later than normal but today has been a long, busy day. Today is payday and we pay our rent, get medicines from the pharmacy, do laundry which is always fun, lol, buy groceries and in general run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Today we invested in a printer for our computer that actually works. We got one for free, yeah! but got it home attached it to the computer and found out that the drivers don't work. Boo. So we found one for the reasonable price of $29 at one of our local Wal-Mart. Now to get it up and running. Also we bought a device to connect our old but free TV to a VCR/DVD-R we snagged for $15 at a thrift store. Hopefully this gets it going so we can watch movies on it. We don't really want to purchase cable service and we have tried getting DVDs at the library but they have a rather limited selection, especially when it comes to horror, zombie movies that hubby likes. We are both glad that we are home where we can relax and work on getting these things going.

Our Friend the Groundhog

Once again we are paying extra attention to the groundhog in the hope that winter will end 6 weeks early. I'm sure that most of us would not be opposed to this idea but we can't control the weather, even though there have been times I wished that it could have been different. Our dear groundhog has decided that we will have six more weeks of winter. There are many well known groundhogs who are coaxed out of their cozy den to predict the weather, but some people are against doing this since they believe it is harmful to the health of the groundhog. We don't mean to harm the animals but I guess we have to take what we get concerning the weather. The gray, overcast days are what I have more trouble dealing with versus the cold. I can always wear a wool sweater of some sort and give me the needed insulation to make life more bearable. If you want more information about the groundhog please visit:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/30/groundhog-day-2012-punxsutawney_n_1242283.html

It's finally February!

I’m so glad its February
Hello and welcome once again to the wonderful month of February. The second month takes its name from the Latin word Februa which was a purification festival in Ancient Rome. This month celebrates many holidays including Groundhog Day; The Day the Music Died, when Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper died in 1959; Valentines Day; Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday; Presidents Day; George Washington’s Birthday and the rarest of all the holidays, Leap Day.
February as a month also concerns itself with American Heart Health; An Affair to Remember; Black History; Canned Food; Creative Romance; Great American Pies; Cherries; Children’s Dental Health; Grapefruits, and Weddings. Who knew that the shortest month of the year contained so many holidays and concerns? Mostly I thought about Groundhog Day and Valentines Day. But after you have endured the long, cold months of winter you are concerned with whether or not the winter is going to last another 6 weeks. Plus my favorite color is red so any holiday that features it and has such a happy tone to it can easily win me over. And the chance that I may be the fortunate receiver of a beautiful bouquet of flowers is a plus, especially if they are red roses.
